Hi! I’m Gemma, a 30-something writer, ex-Londoner and new mum living in the Wiltshire countryside with my partner, baby, and rescue dog. My Myers-Briggs personality type is ENFP, and I believe in the restorative power of butter.
Welcome to my cosy corner of the internet!
Why subscribe?
This newsletter is a blend of stories about slow living, recipes for comforting food and reflections on motherhood, being a millennial and making a house (and garden) a home. You’re just as likely to read a post on growing tomatoes as a recommendation for the latest Netflix drama, and tips for wallpapering sit alongside tales of our assimilation into country life after 10 years in the city. It’s a space to document the quieter, richer, sillier side of an imperfectly lived-in life, embrace being a beginner and enjoy sharing away from social media. I’m currently on maternity leave and my world is small and chaotic, so you’ll have to bear with while most of my anecdotes begin ‘the other day at baby sensory/mummy and me yoga’ and my adventures in the kitchen are a little less exciting, a lot more speedy.
