Hello! Happy Monday!
Last week, I had a minor surgery and it felt really good.
Well, the minor surgery obviously didn’t feel good, but finally getting something ticked off the list of things hanging over me did.
My track record for booking doctor appointments is terrible at best, though to be fair to me, which I’m trying to be, I’ve received ‘interesting’ care at best from pretty much every medical professional I’ve encountered. One day I’ll tell you about the randy gynaecologist…
Moving to a nice little not-London town has afforded me a nice local surgery with doctors who are kind and keen to help, which has of course aided action on my part, but before I knew what it would be like, I honestly had decided that going forward, I’d be advocating better for myself. One benefit of being in your 30s is that you stop giving such a shit about what jobsworth receptionists think.
All the same, I don’t find these things easy and I’m proud of myself for getting it sorted. And for not crying at the anaesthetic needle!
Do the tricky thing (even if other people don’t consider it tricky), do it today and be unashamedly proud of yourself for doing it.
Eat this Cadbury pot of deliciousness. It says it serves 6, but that’s a lie. It’s all yours, baby.
Stop putting off buying sensible, waterproof footwear. Suffering soaked-through Converse every time someone invites you on a walk or the dog takes a shit on the other side of a bog is no way to live. These Merry People ankle wellies are my fave - so comfy, grippy and easy to slip on. Plus, stylish enough to wear beyond muddy fields.
This had me HOWLING!
